Unless included in images, the web browser displays fonts in a web site using fonts installed on the web visitor’s computer. Not all people viewing the site will have the same fonts. A “web-safe” font is a font that is provided as standard on both Macs and PCs. These are the only fonts that you can guarantee will display properly to all of your site visitors regardless of which platform or web browser they are using.
With SiteCM, web-safe fonts are used with text that will be managed by the client: navigation titles, headings, and body font. If you specify a non web-safe font if the web browser can’t find the font, it will pick a fallback font that might affect the integrity of your design and typography.
You can download a PDF showing all web-safe fonts from the SiteCM Reseller Site at http://resellers.sitecm.com/design/fonts.htm
